No I haven't been doing 'NOTHING', but I just find other sites so much easier to post onto and keep updated and connected with the people who want to see my work.
A place like FaceBook for example, is one where if I were to upload a new photo-shoot, I would be hitting many birds with one stone - I'd not just be letting other artists see my work, like on here, i'd be letting family know what i'm up to, promoting myself to potential clients as well as luring past clients to work with me again, I'd be showing to significantly more people in general, so more people see my work. I'd be connecting to business', letting them know I'm still working ... i'd be letting friends see what i'm up to ...etc. I shoot an event, and connect with one or two of the people, which links me, in many cases, to many of the other people from that event too ... and then they link themselves to the shots, and so all their friends now see this shot of mine and see who did it .... and so forth. REAL networking. Not like on many of these older websites with the concept of having to be supremely active on the site, poking around, asking "Hey, I like your work, can we be friends?"
You can't underestimate the power and efficiency of a system that is loosely credited as having "EVERYBODY" on it ... if your looking for a person, your bound to be able to find them there. Can't say the same about ... well, ANY other website.
Yes, there are LOTS of people on DeviantArt, but pretty much every singe one of them PLUS "the rest of the world" is on FaceBook.
FaceBook really has changed the internet landscape ... you don't need a bunch of niche websites to cover your various interests and networking needs ... it's all neatly packaged (although badly with recent site re-designs) into just one easy to use website.

I also fear that If I do NOT post them than possible great job opportunities within those alternative fields may just pass me by.
Any thoughts?
